A Favorite Poem & Link-Up

Growing up, my mom had a poem up in the hallway, and to this day I still remember the words. I don’t remember the title or the author, so forgive me on that, but the poem has stuck in my head all these years. I find myself repeating it more and more these days with a new baby, and you’ll see why. Here is the poem:

Cleaning and scrubbing can wait ’til tomorrow

For babies grow up, we’ve learned to our sorrow.

So quiet down cobwebs,

Dust go to sleep.

I’m rocking my baby

And babies don’t keep.

I’ve watched my older children grow up before my eyes. I truly can’t believe how fast the time has gone. I really can’t believe I have a teenager already! It seems like a lifetime has passed since I had her, but at the same time it feels like just yesterday. Funny how time flies, isn’t it?

So I am taking all the time I can to enjoy my sweet baby. The laundry pile may grow a little, but that is easily taken care of. When my baby grows, there’s no turning back the clock.

This is my second week co-hosting this awesome link-up. I hope that you all can find something you like, and link-up some posts to share with the world! Thanks for stopping by.
