The year is half over already! How have you been doing on memorizing your Bible verses? I have to admit that I still have a few from months past that I am working on, but I am not going to let that stop me from starting on these. Now that school is pretty much over, I will have more time, and I think we may even work on some of these together as a family since the kids don’t have other things to work on right now.
Here are the Bible verses we will be memorizing in June. I hope you will print these out and post them up around your house to memorize as well.
I am also about halfway done with memorizing the verses about the Proverbs 31 woman. This one is a great reminder that as Christians, we should always be lending a helping hand to the needy. That could mean friends and neighbors that are in need, but it also means complete strangers. I don’t know what it is like where you are, but it seems like there are so many homeless people and beggars in my town, and I see more each day. If I’m not careful, I can let me heart get hardened to them. I don’t always like to give money, but when I can I will buy them a meal and give them a smile. And if I don’t have time to do that, I will often give a couple dollars. I have heard people say that they never give money to the homeless because they are just going to use it to buy alcohol or drugs. For a while I took on that mindset as well, but I have since changed my mind. All I can see in the Bible is that we are supposed to help those in need. Not judge whether we think they will do something good with that help, but just simply to help.
I also make it a point to give out salvation tracts when I give money or food to the homeless. They may have a rough life here on earth, but Heaven is free for everyone who believes. I recently read the book “Heaven is for Real,” and if you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend it. Good works won’t get you into Heaven, money won’t get you into Heaven, your religion or your family connections won’t get you into Heaven. Only one thing will get you into Heaven–belief and trust in Jesus Christ.
God knows everything. I think this verse perfectly sums that up, and I will be posting this in a very noticeable spot in my home.
I don’t get my morals or life advice from Hollywood. In fact, I tend to ignore what they do for the most part. But I can’t even open my email or the internet without seeing something about Bruce Jenner. Everyone and their mom has an opinion about him. Well this is mine. Perfectly summed up in one sentence from the first book of the Bible. Take from it what you will, and if you have an issue with it, take it up with the author of the Book. I didn’t write it, I just believe it. But that being said, I won’t bash him. I will just pray for him and the countless young people he is influencing.
I hope you like my Bible verse printables this month, and as always I would love to hear about any verses you are memorizing.

Here is the link to the book I mentioned, if you are interested in checking it out. I have heard the movie is not comparable, as it leaves too much out.
