How Can You Encourage Your Kids?

Encourage: a verb meaning to give support, confidence, or hope (to someone)

Some synonyms for encourage are hearten, cheer, uplift, inspire, motivate, stimulate, invigorate, embolden, and fortify.

I could go on, but I think you get the point. To give someone encouragement means you support them and are in their corner. You want them to succeed!

I know as a mom, I want my children to succeed in life. I pray for each of them daily and try to give them the tools that they will need.

I’m sure that most parents would say the same. But encourage can be such an abstract idea. You may want to encourage your children, but aren’t sure how.

Today I am sharing 4 practical ways that I encourage my children on a daily basis. And Tayler from The Morrell Tale will be sharing her 4 ideas for encouraging children as well.

I’d love for you to hop over and check out our post. I hope you will be encouraged!

Thanks! I had to look up the meaning…not because I didn’t know what encouragement was, but because I wanted to be sure I was thinking along the right lines. The synonyms gave me a much better understanding 🙂

Encouraging kids these days is important. Many are raising children that simply feel they should have it all. We need to encourage them to rise above that. thanks for this article

I don’t even think this just applies to kids, we all need that encouragement and that boost. Great ideas though and I can totally see me applying into my everyday interaction.

    • Miranda Gonzalez

Very true! These can be applied to all age groups.

What a nice collaboration idea between you and another mom blogger. I love the idea of this post as well as all the points. Kids need encouragement and who better than us, parents to do that. Encouragement certainly builds up confidence.
