Changes Are Coming…

Changes Are Coming

You may have noticed that I have been absent. We went on vacation in August, and then started back up to our homeschool year right when we returned, and blogging got put on the back burner for a while. I have to admit that I was also in a bit of a slump. I know I want to continue to blog, but I have been feeling like the whole spectrum of everything I want to write about doesn’t fit so well together on here anymore.

I know that God put this blog on my heart a few years ago. I have a very troubled past, and it was and still is my hope that Rahab to Riches will be able to give hope and encouragement to others trying to overcome the same sorts of obstacles, and to learn to thrive in their newfound faith. Or even to encourage others to trust in Jesus and become more spiritual. For those reasons, I will continue to write on faith, family, and new beginnings here.

But I also want to focus on writing more about my love of essential oils and working from home. For those posts, along with homeschooling and all around healthy living, I am going to start a new blog. I already have the theme picked out and have the URL chosen, I just have to put a few finishing touches on before I unveil it.

I know that all these topics of the two blogs could work together, but I felt that my business posts were cheapening the spiritual aspect here. Not that it is wrong to run a business or work from home, in fact I think it is definitely biblical-but that is just how I have been feeling. I hope that both blogs will reach their intended audiences and be a blessing to many people, and I would love if you would continue to read here as well as check out my new one.

Stay tuned for more details later this week. And thank you so much for reading!

I really enjoyed seeing all of you in one place, but I respect your decision and will follow you on both sites!

Thanks so much Melissa. I know it is definitely more convenient having everything in one place, but I just feel like having them split will be better. Of course, next year I can always re-evaluate and see whether it worked or not. I plan to do more day to day posts on the other site, and post here maybe a couple times a week. At least that’s the plan for now. 🙂

Best of luck with launching the new blog, Miranda. I hear you on wanting a separate space to separate the 2 distinct genre of topics. However and wherever this new path takes you, I hope you continue writing & expressing yourself. Xo
